What do you think of taking over recreation side of Soule Park?

We need to be fully aware of our obligations and responsibilities so we will not be caught off guard. Before the city takes it over, it needs a complete understanding of the operating expenses, the deferred maintenance, and what is required for flood mitigation, creek bank stabilization, and stormwater management to protect park visitors and nearby property.

We need to understand the water needs in the face of future strict water restrictions, groundwater constraints, and high water costs. Is there any infrastructure needed by the golf course or the park that is interconnected?

Besides team sports using fields that will need to be developed, it could also be the new home of the Public Works yard.
